Fusing elements of traditional and modern styles from across folk and jazz, The Tom Shooter Quintet bring new music with melody, atmosphere and groove.

Taking influence from Jazz greats from Duke Ellington to Charlie Haden and the work of songsmiths like Joni Mitchel and Randy Newman, Shooters compositions place emphasise melody and narrative within and between compositions. The band comprises of a quintet of exceptional young players, combining strong and distinct musical voices, crucially attuned to the atmosphere of the music, realising it in original colour.

Good Evening has been collaborating with the Royal Albert to present great live music every Sunday night for over a decade. The program is rooted in Jazz ranging from its earliest forms to cutting edge contemporary fusions and everything in between, played by an ever growing circle of musicians from modern day masters to rising stars.
